My name is Jessica (Yi-Ju) Lin (林宜儒). I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Linguistics at Georgetown University, where I’m advised by Amir Zeldes and a member of Corpling Lab and Computational Linguistics @ Georgetown (GUCL). Before coming to Georgetown, I recieved my M.A. in Linguistics from National Taiwan University and B.A. in Applied Chinese Language and Culture from National Taiwan Normal University.

My dissertation (in progress), "Entity Salience in Discourse: A Corpus and Computational Approach", seeks to investigate entity salience in discourse from a corpus linguistics and computational approach. My dissertation committee consists of Amir Zeldes, Nathan Schneider, and Masssimo Poesio.
